Security Handbook

Security is responsible for maintaining the safety of both personnel and assets aboard ships, stations, and planetary facilities. They are advisors, investigators, and bodyguards. They are teachers, monitors, and defense forces. Above all, they are charged with seeking diplomatic solutions and resolving conflicts peacefully wherever possible, employing force only as a last resort when all other reasonable efforts have been exhausted.

General Duties

• Maintain, stock, and oversee use of all weapons lockers, training centers, and armories
• Investigate any incidents and potential criminal activities
• Intervene in situations that pose a threat to individuals, the crew, or the ship
• Monitor, analyze, and act on information provided through scans, feeds, and other data sources
• Train other personnel in security functions, self defense, de-escalation, etc.
